I am a current graduate of the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, AZ. I completed a Bachelors of Science in Software Engineering with a focus in Artificial Life Programming. I am experienced in C/C++, PHP4/5, Visual Basic .net 2005, Java, Processing, Intel Assembly, C#, HTML, CSS, and AutoIt. My primary interest is divided between interactive media and artificial life. I’m also experienced with development on Windows XP, OSX 10.4/10.5, and Linux operating systems. Most of my skills have been self taught but working with others has been and is an indispensable experience. Some of the most innovative ideas and some of the most challenging questions have come from working with others on projects.
Interactive media is a relatively new venue of expression for me and I enjoy seeing how I can integrate artificial life theories and practices into interactive art to get an even more dynamic and almost organic experience. It all started when I was introduced to the Processing programming language. I allowed me to have the level of control and power that I get from languages like C but it is closely built on an extremely powerful graphical control interface that is extremely intuitive to use. With the new ability to drive a powerful graphical front end, a world of possibilities has opened up and I haven’t looked back.
